Sculptural painting with buttercream can be a lovely way to decorate cakes when sugar flowers are too time-consuming or not readily available and they make a cake look like a piece of art.
Join accomplished sugar artist Renay Zamora and learn the art sculptural painting on cakes with buttercream! Recently, Renay has become obsessed with the technique of sculptural painting used by plaster artists. She noticed that the texture of the plaster that they use is similar to that of the buttercream that she uses for sculpting. After studying the technique in the art world, she has found a way to replicate the technique with buttercream!
In this Sculptural Painting with Buttercream class, you will learn the basic technique of sculptural painting and it’s application for cakes using palette knives and other implements, and coloring basics.
