Create a beautiful, full size, hand sculpted Southern Magnolia made entirely with isomalt. Why Isomalt flowers? No drying time! Just sculpt, paint or dust, and place directly on your cake.

In this class, you will learn how to work with and properly handle isomalt (i.e. a sugar substitute), and you will learn how to sculpt this medium into one of the most identifiable flowers of the south, a magnolia. This class also includes training on how to dust & paint your sugar centerpiece in a way that will bring your artwork to life. We will also address color, clarity, humidity, flavor, stability, safety, and more!

About Sidney

Learn How to Create Sugar Flowers at The Ultimate Sugar Show with Sidney GalpernSidney Galpern is a Certified Professional Chocolatier, Cake Designer, Sugar Artist, International Instructor, owner of, & a member of the International Excellence Team of Cake Designers FIPGC International Federation of Pastry Chefs, Gelato, and Chocolatiers. As well as a member of the Icing Images Design Team and Team Sugar Art.

She graduated with honors from the prestigious Ecole Chocolat School of the Chocolate Arts and has the distinction as the youngest student to ever complete the program at age 15. She trained with top sugar artists and chefs in New York City, London, Orlando, & West Palm Beach. Sidney was honored in 2017 with the Sweet Life Hall of Fame Award. Her company was chosen as the dessert professional for the TV Show ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Space Coast.

Sidney teaches and demonstrates sugar & cake decorating to professionals and amateurs worldwide for the last 10 years, along with judging and sponsoring cake shows. She invented and manufactures her own line of isomalt, Simi Isomalt, as well as her own line of sugar art tools. She has written articles published in American Cake Decorating Magazine, Edible Artists Network Magazine, Cake Masters Magazine,, and featured instructor on SugarEd Productions Online School,, in the Florida Today Newspaper, Today in Brevard Television Show, German GalileoTV, Biloxi WLOX News, San Antonio Today, the ICES Magazine, and as a CakeFu Master Trainer.
