This class is specifically designed to you feel comfortable with your abilities to create beautifully professional looking cakes with gorgeously sharp edges. In this class you will learn how to level, fill, and crumb coat a cake with perfectly sharp corners using real cake. That's right...all students will be working with real cake in this class! You will also receive a printed copy of Sarah's favorite recipe that is proven to help any baker, caker or sweet maker achieve a smooth buttercream finish on cakes.
In this class, you will also learn how to produce the watercolor effect shown on the class preview image, and you will also learn how to create the adorable fondant pumpkins to pair with your finished one tier version of this cake.
PLEASE NOTE: The final product for this class will be a one tier version of the cake shown in the preview image. Instruction on stacking a will not be covered in this class. Sarah Myers is a self-taught cake artist and the owner of High Five Cakes in Chillicothe, Ohio. She jumped into the cake biz with both feet back in 2010 so that she could pursue her love of art while getting paid to create masterpieces with food.
She is known for her work with fondant, Isomalt™ and modeling chocolate where her passion for sculpting can be sated. One of the things she enjoys most about her job is traveling to compete and teach at various cake events. She is also a proud baking partner with Icing Smiles, donating cakes to children with critical illnesses.
Her dream is to mentor others in sugar art, both as a way to give back to the industry and to satisfy her other passion of teaching.
