Extra Sugar | Women of Wakanda, Okoye Figurine

Once Marvel's Black Panther hit the big screen, it quickly became a frequent request among young birthday boys and girls across the world. This class was designed to help you rise to the occasion and create edible figurines, by hand to match the Wakanda theme of your next client or family request.

In this class you will learn how to model an edible doll inspired by the Women of Wakanda. You will learn how to create the color palette from their iconic outfits, as well as how to create realistic facial expressions and elegant body positions. You will also learn how to model hands and mouths without the use of a mold.

Although this class is Wakanda themed, the techniques learned in class can be used to make edible figures that match any cartoon character or action figure theme.

About Barbara

Learn how to achieve different skin tones using fondant at The Ultimate Sugar Show with Barbara Regini.Barbara Regini received a Master of Art degree in 2001. During which she attended several specialization courses in sculpture, molding and decoration of medieval pottery.

She enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Brera address decoration and sculpture. Evolving approaches SugarArt in 2011 and immediately falls in love with this sugar paste, that material can able to combine all forms of Art and Design.

Modeling explores the technique of moving toward a style that combines art and Sugar reinterpreting it with irony. She loves to give of the hidden meanings to his creations. Freeze a precise moment that winds between the floors, like a photograph.

She teaches courses at various levels of specialization schools in the area, fairs and events dedicated.

She participates as a judge in several National and International sugar art competitions.

She participates at national exhibitions and won numerous competitions, is selected among the ten finalists in the national competition at the Glamouritaliancakes Sigep Rimini, 3rd place in Orlando Florida, Top ten international Artists at the NY Cake Show, nominated as Best Modeling at the Cake Master Awards.

She Is chosen as a sworn Competitions for National and International achieved awards for the originality of his works.

Her creations are featured on "Italian Cuisine", "Corriere della Sera" on the catalog Arketipo, “Donna Moderna”, “Vogue”, “Cake Master Magazine”, “Edible Master Networks” and her "monaLisa" cake is the only cake chosen in an American book that collect all the best reinterpretation of the famous paint with hundreds of famous artist.
